St. Patrick's Day started off with sending a few letters and a package for my Mom's birthday:
 
Then I decided that my hair was too long and cut it off myself:
I got ready for our bagels date with Carole, Nadya and Emi (I'm sad I don't have pictures of C&N):

Next was shopping because I needed to find a present and finally got a few things for myself too:

I went back home, riding my bike along the beautiful Coupure of Ghent:

And suddenly, the weather started to change radically:

But I had time to capture the beauty of Spring's first gifts:

Later BabyLuv prepared an rib-eye Irish steak for me which was delicious:
We eventually prepared ourselves to go out to celebrate what is also my name-day:
We celebrated at Foley's Irish Pub:



I drank a couple of Bailey's to my friends, Jen & Derek who will be moving to Dublin this year:

We had the pleasure to watch a show of 'The Lord of The Dance' and a concert of U2:

I have to say: I love St. Patrick's Day!

When we moved to Gent in 2007, we received a map of all the pubs there and BabyLuv & I decided that we'd go to all of them. Unfortunately the map teared when I tried to move it to another wall and I had to throw it away.
Early November 2009, I got a new similar map but it pointed all the Gentse restaurants! This was just perfect because we adore going to the restaurant. So we decided to try every restaurant in town. What a challenge! We're on the right track already and we still go to our favorite places often but we like to try a different one now and then.

Tonight we went out to the Pool House to play pool. I sucked but learned a lot from BabyLuv. He's really good at pool game. He taught me to concentrate more and to really adjust my cue so the white ball hits the right way. Unfortunately we couldn't stay long because  people smoked like a chimney and I couldn't breathe anymore. I was pretty pissed because it's now forbidden to smoke in any establishment. Our clothes smelled so bad I had to put them in the washing machine as soon as we got home! I'm not against people smoking but I'm against them forcing me to "smoke" with them. It's so disrespectful.

July 2011: On March 15, 2011, Belgium's Constitutional Court ruled that the discrimination between bars serving food and those not serving food (and casinos) distorted competition and that, as a consequence, the partial exemption had to end by July 2011, thus banning smoking in Belgium's bars, restaurants and casinos without exemptions. Yesterday, BabyLuv and a few of his friends went to a great DJ set called De Maxx, by Studio Brussel. I didn't go because I know how tiring and long it can be even though I love the music and the atmosphere.

So as I came home with the car, he was coming home with the first train in the early morning.

That's just what he did. And he came back with a kilo of little shrimps ! 1 kilo!! He's crazy! We don't even eat 300gr, so a kilo...

When I asked him about it, he was trying to explain his idea just like a little boy. That was so cute! He started eating some of them to prove that they wouldn't go to waste.

I ate some myself but I'm pretty sure at least 800gr went to waste...

Ah my! Guys and their crazy ideas!
