Sous un Ciel en Couleurs

This morning, when I opened the curtains, I was mesmerized!
Sunrise & SunsetSunrise & Sunset
I called BabyLuv to come witness the most gorgeous sky we've had during the morning. It was a real painting and it seemed blurred too. I took a few pictures with the iPhone and went to get my camera but it was gone! I was so disappointed but still happy I could capture it somehow.
Tonight we witnessed another live painting when the sky turned all shades of orange and pink. The layers were so visible I could almost count them. It even lasted for more than an hour, which is not very common this time of year.

We're so lucky to be able to watch the sunrise and the sunset from our home. I'll never take this for granted. The sky is magical!

I've been working a lot in Antwerp these past few weeks.
To my pleasure I can see one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture when I go there: the train station.

I don't know much about its history but I think I'm going to buy a book because it fascinates me so much: it's huge, a great mix of modern and older architecture, it's welcoming and warm and it's very clean. Plus, it's just next to the zoo! Yay!

What I love the most about this place is the feeling of importance and strength you get just looking at it: you have to stop and look around, the details in each room is impressive and wonderful. The part they added is really modern but it goes so well with the actual building. It's really long, reminding is of how high the main room is.

I really love the tones in the stones, I love the different clocks you see, I love the beautiful stairs and the lovely upstairs windows.
If you ever go in Belgium and you like architecture, it's a must! This piece of art is monumental and you'll be in awe for a long while...

We woke up to a beautiful snowy scenery this morning, it was so gorgeous and peaceful.
It's such a shame it didn't last.

I was lucky enough though since I took the train to work today and could snap some pictures of the white white powder covering Mother Earth and the train rails. I just couldn't stop staring and being mesmerized. Antwerp's train station was magnificent with the sun set just behind its top. I really love this building.

While my car was being fixed, we went Christmas shopping (and found everything! It's a first!) and we had lunch in a little café I found a little while ago. I thought I discovered it when I was still studying but apparently, it was for the same reason as today! I remember feeling so confortable and the food was yummy.
I decided to take Peter there so he'll see where I've been when I was in Lille. That was a great trip down to memory lane.
Peter had some soup and a salmon panini and I had a vegetarian bagel (that they unfortunately burned...) and some salad à la française.
Since we had to wait for more than 2 hours, we decided to stay a little bit longer than for lunch. Peter read the sportive pages of the journal while I took pictures and look at stuff on my iPhone. We also drink a coffee (for Peter) and a tea (for me).
We really had a good relaxing time there. I'm really happy we went there.
